    ATLANTA - James Brown, the dynamic, pompadoured "Godfather of Soul," whose rasping vocals and revolutionary rhythms made him a founder of rap, funk and disco as well, died early Monday, his agent said. He was 73.

    What a great talent with an excellent backup band too. They don't make music like that anymore! RIP James Brown.

      Did you see that his 35 yr old wife isn't his wife after all.

      She was married when she married JB, so that marriage was invalid and after her annullment, she and JB never got married for real. So the lawyer for the family locked her out of the estate where they lived together.

          You know that music chord you hear when Windows starts after you turn on your computer?

          About ten years ago the marketing coordinator in the office I was working with at the time got a new computer that upgraded her to Windows 95. One time when she was away from her desk, I replaced that Windows startup chord with this sample from the intro to "Get Up Offa That Thing". She loved it.
          “Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

          “This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

              I just heard on the radio that James Brown was going to be the main attraction for New years eve at the BB king theater in NYC. They are now scrambling for a last minute replacement.

                Another tremendous talent is gone. He had a troubled soul but was one of a kind. I will miss him. shaggy
