  • Has anyone read 'Life After Death' by Deepak Chopra?

This guy just fascinates me. I saw him last night on TV, and I am going to order his new book. His philosophy is intriguing. I know that many would think that he is 'out-there,' but if nothing else, he has a very unique, and interesting perspective on life, and death.

He used to be the star "healing guru" in the Transcendental Meditation movement, about 15 years ago. He parted ways with the movement over some differences in philosophy (and his pursuit of the mighty Buck)... many of his beliefs are grounded in Hinduism and Transcendental Meditation. But he has his own unique twist, and more flair than anyone has had for a long time in being able to explain these beliefs/ideas.

Angela, he has a bunch of other books, too. And the spa at the Dream Hotel (around the block from the Manhattan Club) carries his name and some Indian/Ayurvedic treatments...

Avery....Thanks for the info. I was totally taken by his philosophy last night. He believes that we make our own reality. I'd like to try to make a reality for myself where I get to go on a few more vacations.

Seriously, tho. I am very interested in his perspective on life. I am going to get some of his books, and see what he is really all about.

I love the review on the Amazon page: "A must-read for anyone who will die."
        That pretty much covers it!
