I saw Rod Stewart 2 years ago at the Nassau Coliseum. I just saw him again now at the Madison Square Garden and WOW what a difference. He was great then and even better now. What I really liked was the stage set up in the center of the garden. I will post some pictures and maybe a video in a day or two.

I agree. I saw him Saturday at the Boston Garden. Probably the best of the seven of his shows I have seen. Virtually all songs from his biggest hits. No new stuff.
Several times he said he was about to sing a "new song" or one he hadn't sung in 20 years or one that not many people liked. Each time he launched into one of his standards. Cute.
The center stage with circular runways at each end allowed for much more audience interaction than with an end stage.
If you like Rod Stewart, don't miss this tour! He has another 40 concerts in the U.S. over the next three months, followed by a dozen concerts in Europe.
Pat H and I will likely see him again in early May in Charlotte.

Dave I loved when he played Kim Carns song , It's a Heartache. He had the place rocking with that song. The 2nd half of the show after the 20Min Intermission was great. He messed with every ones head at the end with that Jumbo-tron. Everyone was watching the screen thinking he was walking back to the stage and then ended up back in the car and out of the building. You can tell he had fun playing. I will try to get some pictures and maybe a video posted.Timeshareforums Shirts and Mugs on sale now! http://www.cafepress.com/ts4ms

Ok so I'm a big Loser, capital L. I didn't want to go b/c his recent 'torch' album really made me nuts and I was afraid that's what he'd do.
Glad you got to enjoy him, though.
