Max Crumm and Laura Osnes win roles as Danny and Sandy

I am so thrilled for both of them. In the last several weeks. Max and Laura really created separation between themselves and the rest of their competitors.

WHO'S GOING? I WANT TO GO TO NYC TO WATCH THIS MUSICAL. ANYONE UP FOR IT?

I just went back to Youtube and watched a bunch of their performances again.

I think Laura was by far the best and most powerful singer. "Jesus Christ Superstar" really showed the world what she could do. Her second best performance was "Fever" which showed off her sultry side. And, after that performance, she never looked back.

My two favorite Max performances were "can you feel the love tonight?" and "Hard to Handle". He caught my attention with the theme song to Lion King which was the best performance I've ever heard of that song. And, he closed the deal with me when he came out struttin' in "Hard to Handle" which proved to me he could play a stud.

When is it playing?

I'm game. I live on Cape Cod so for me it would have to be an overnight, but since my nephew works for Marriott, I can get a friends and family hotel rate. Heaven only knows we couldn't get an RCI exchange LOL.

I watched a large portions of the show over the past weeks but was out last night (darn) and didn't get to see the final show.

"Grease is set to start performances on Broadway on July 24 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre and open on August 19. "

That was a quote in one of the articles I read about it. I'm not sure what it means exactly. But it looks like performances start late in the summer.

This was such a great show.

Max sure has the moves and the voice. I was sure Laura would get the part, since she is so talented. I wanted Max to get it but thought perhaps he would not because his looks are far from John Travolta's. He is more of an average Joe, but his voice and dancing were not average at all.

Austin was cute but not Danny-like. The other guy was really cute and very much what I pictured Danny to be, but the talent was lacking.

They made good choices. I wish we could go see that play, but we live in Denver. Maybe we could fly in for a few days. I love New York, but I would like to go in the spring. The play will go on for years and years.
