  • "The Mormons" on PBS

    Any watching ?
It's interesting from an historic point thus far. Should be interesting tonight as I've always wondered why blacks were not allowed in until a while back and when they were allowed in, weren't allowed to hold high office. This is how it was explained to me by a missionary at my door when I lived in Hawaii.
Anyway, perhaps the revelation will be explained more fully tonight.
It's well presented and balanced, as far as I can tell.

Sheesh, I read it so fast I thought it said "The Morons". I thought it was a show about folks who buy timeshares from the perspective of all the naysayers out there.

I don't know about that, Beags! I've heard that prime Utah ski weeks "curry" favor with RCI & other exchange companies!

Carol, you look like you are being "beamed" in your avatar, as in Beam me up, Scotty.

That is a screen cap of Liz Fraser, lead singer of the late great band (my fave group of all time) Cocteau Twins, from Scotland. They broke up in '94 after their last tour...I had the privilege of meeting the three of them that year. Veddy nice blokes whose music lives on...and two of them have their own label now (Bella Union) and have very fine side projects. Liz is often heard on movie soundtracks, most recently on one of the "Lord of the Rings" movies. Her ethereal voice is much loved in the art and film worlds. (As is the voice of Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance whom I'll see live/solo tomorrow night. I love the artists on the 4AD record label!)

I think it is very very interesting. They have had it hard but also brought a lot of it on themselves. It seems that they fall short by follllwing MAN which will always bring dissapointment. For the most part they seem to be decent people but have their eyes focused on someone other than the Lord.
This is my thoughts and I understand that there is no one religion for all. I am no way saying they are wrong to believe their way, nor am I wrong to believe the way I do.

Yes, 'tis me in a Galaxy Far, Far Away. I was playing with learning how to upload avatar photos and will be removing this one. I went through 3-4 of them yesterday in rapid succession including Fenway's Green Monster.
