Now that TV has saturated with reality shows, let's list our favorite and least favorite shows. Please include a quick description re. why you like or dislike these?

Favorites:

Survivor - because it is the "first" of its kind. Love the strategy.

Amazing Race - love to see all of the places they visit. Like that no one is "voted" off, the teams usually leave through some fault of their own.

Dancing with the Stars (I guess this counts)

Least favorites:

I don't watch any of the others, so I really can't comment. None of them have really peaked my interest. I find the "find your mate" ones like the Batchelor ridiculous. Watched the Apprentice off and on a couple of seasons, but I really dislike Donald Trump.

My Favorite Reality Shows

There are so many of them now. I've watched some, like Idol and Survivor in the past, but after a few seasons got bored with them. My current faves, in no particular order:

• Dancing With The Stars
• Top Chef
• America's Got Talent
• The Next Food Network Star
• So You Think You Can Dance
• Last Comic Standing
• Hell's Kitchen

Seems like the summer is loaded wth the ones I like now...

Question to those of you who don't watch because you don't like any of them? Have you ever watched any? I know when I first heard about Survivor, and then Amazing Race I thought the whole thing sounded dumb and it took me awhile to get hooked. But, I certainly am now. But I refuse to let myself get sucked into American Idol.

Yes, I have watched some...Survivor for several of their shows in the beginning, then it seemed to be too much of the same ole-same ole. Have caught a couple of the Amazing Race (and did watch it when they were in Chile & Argentina because we were headed there), and others, for a night or two and just couldn't get into them. I'd rather watch a movie...of any vintage.

I use to dislike reality shows. Then I started watching American Idol. Got hooked.

Since then, I watch:

America's Got Talent
So You Think You Can Dance
Dancing With the Stars
The Bachelor
and just recently, Hell's Kitchen and On the Lot

I'm sure there's more, but can't think of it right now.

I've watched a bit of them when nothing else is on, but never could make t through any of them. I would rather listen to the crickets or the winter wind.

Here is my list...

OK, to answer my own question ... I rarely watch TV and reality shows are not my thing. However, I have been TiVo-ing the following, and watching parts of those at times

• On the Lot - 15 young people making short movies - trying for a movies deal from DreamWorks. These are short movies. I love to see people's creativity! (Fox Mon. Wed. nights)
• So you think you can dance! Interesting to see young people from all classes and backgrounds trying to learn dance routines and perform on stage. Interesting show. Some of the outfits are really fun! (Fox)
• American Idol - fast forward to Simon's comments... if the comments interest me, then rewind and watch the performer. Love looking for conflict between Simon and the other two...
