Did anyone else watch this last night? I caught part of it and thought it was pretty interesting on how they divided the kids up and the kids responses and actions/re-actions to their situation and toward one another. Don't know if I'll keep watching because I'm not much of a 'reality show' fan, but I might check in occasionally.

I kind of half watched. I may keep watching, unless something more interesting comes up.

      Liked it

I enjoyed it. I like Amazing Race so enjoy these types of shows. I could see my 10 year old granddaughter doing this (and probably taking over the city).

Unfortunately, it looks like the show is doomed!

I thought it was "interesting". Unfortunately, it may be just us four watching it .... reviews were very poor, and ratings continue to drop. I suspect that it will be down to Internet viewing only in a few weeks.

Nancy, hope your granddaughter is like Laurel or Sarah or one of the other strong leaders on the show. Please tell us she's not like "I'm a beauty queen so I don't do dishes" Taylor. I know they edit quotes out of context, but that girl's poor mother must be cringing! Or who knows, maybe that's where she got it from!

          I'm thinking.............Golding's "Lord of the Flies" ?
Hopefully, it won't come to this.
Interesting reality show, but agreed, I think that it will be short-lived.

I thought you all might enjoy this pretty funny blog by Gabriel Delahaye.
Gabriel Delahaye: Live Blogging Kid Nation: In Cold Blood - Entertainment on The Huffington Post

My favourite quote is this one about Jared (11-year old from Georgia), right after they killed the chickens in the last episode.

"Jared holds a dead chicken by its feet and says: "We sped up the natural cycle of life and death." Earlier he said something about Shakespeare and last week he quoted Martin Luther King Jr. in reference to breakfast. Jared is quickly becoming one of my favorite kids on the show. He is seriously an alien sent from outer-space who was taught to mimic humans by watching old episodes of Family Matters, and memorizing a copy of Bartlett's Quotations that one of his fellow aliens just kind of made up.""

I couldn't stop laughing when I read it!
