  • Anyone Watching Dexter ?

I really like this and just started watching it.

I missed it on Showtime, but will catch up.

Oh, yes, the Tudors are returning !!

We watched it a week ago and found it interesting.

Friday night we watched two Dateline-type programs of husbands who killed their wives, one setting her on fire probably while she was still alive and the other mismembering her except for the torso which he retrieved from the park where he had buried it, and kept it in a green plastic keeper in his garage.

Then, when I started watching Dexter last night it occurred to me that the premise for it is not all that different than those two murdering husbands. So, that is it for Dexter for me, as I find the premise to be quite depraved.

Quite the interesting show and premise; I enjoyed the first two seasons on showtime. Dexter, the serial killer you learn to care for.

I started watching it from the first show, and now all of my friends are hooked. You got into it thanks to FIOS Video on Demand, didn't you?

I see the Tudors on that, and was wondering if it is worth watching that show.

I'm hooked too - it's not so much learning to "love" Dexter as watching the development of a fascinating personality, and the psychology of a psychopath who has been raised by a loving parent. And I really like the "addict" angle of how his personality and behaviour is explained.

I like Dexter's own take on himself, identifying his motives, who is is, etc.

Some of his own mental musings are really funny.

              Yes, I'm hooked.

Hoc, I've had Showtime on Comcast for a while, but did not notice whether or not Dexter was on it last year - busy with school and all. I only started to get interested just a couple weeks ago when it came onto the regular national station (forgot which one), however, I am watching the back episodes on Showtime on Demand now and just love it.

As for the Tudors, historically interesting, lots of intrigue, alliances, deception, sex............. you know, like home !
I like Jonathan Rhys Myers (from "Matchpoint" movie-great !) who plays Henry, although I've always had Henry pictured a tad differently.
Since being to most of Henry's palaces, I find it very interesting, a bit contrived ,no doubt, but decent entertainment.

Well, now that you have FIOS, you don't have to wait. It's available for free to Showtime subscribers in the Video on Demand section.
