But I can't let you go
And I can't see another way
And I know that she's the only one for me
But you know that if I could split in two
The other me - would stay all night
The other me - would hold you tight
The other me - would be the only one for you
When I see you there alone
It almost breaks my heart
But it doesn't break enough
For me to break my whole life apart

There are many wonderful places in the world, but one of my favourite places is on the back of my horse.

If he wasn't, it's because he'd spent it -- they were pouring money into Apple like it was water in the late 60's/early 70's, and Imagine was post-Beatles, I think? Post-Yoko, anyhow... Apple took two million to set up and was not treated like a money-making project, at least initially (it was a tax shelter). For instance, they got a corporate jet but didn't want to rent it out when it wasn't in use, because they "never knew when they might want to use it."
John was hard to pin down -- in '69 in one interview he said that, if he wasn't a millionaire yet, he would be one right quick, then complained that the Beatles had earned millions but didn't have much of it (which was true, and I think the Beatles were definitely cheated out of some earnings, but OTOH they had also spent a lot of it on stuff like islands they never visited and whatnot). But in another interview at around the same time, he said they had had all the money they ever wanted, but it didn't satisfy.
I like their instrumentals -- wish they'd done more of them. Except this one makes me want to go listen to my Summers/Fripp stuff that my hubby hates. On the upside, hubby and the two eldest are in Chicago today so he won't be here to complain.

Not my favorite song but I like the visuals from Final Fantasy VII (and Advent Children?) -- Cloud's an idiot but he looks like eldest son to me (eldest son of course would rather look like Zach ).
