Back about 1990 a buddy and I went to a blues club in Oakland to see a triple feature with John Lee Hooker as the headliner. He did his program - finishing up about 1:30 a.m. Then he said he wanted to introduce a friend, and out to the stage walked Carlos Santana, guitar in hand. The two of them played for about half an hour, then some of the musicians from the other two bands on the program came out and they jammed for about another half hour.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”
“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

That one I would have liked to have been at! Lucky You!
Apparently Beck liked only this (the one that inspired me to get the album in the first place) and "Escape", the tune that sounds so joyful, on Flash. So even though he disagrees with me about the rest of this album, I've decided I can love it with no guilt.
