I really like this song. It's so bouncy and upbeat, until you listen to the lyrics...

I have not seen this anime or read the manga, but according to my kidlets, they're both humorous, however the fandom is depressing. And the fandom is depressing, because the humorous stories are based on WW II. The characters are allegorical versions of the various countries. In a story based on WW II. That's light hearted and fun.

Just about every girl in my 6th grade class drooled over David Cassidy. I never got the attraction. We were twelve, and he was in his twenties; just did not compute for me. Even at the time, my concern about that age gap seemed ridiculous, because it's not like any of us were ever going to meet the guy. But I continued to find that particular romantic obsession weird.

Mind you, the closest thing I had to a romantic crush at that age was Bob Andrews of The Three Investigators, a book character, so I was pretty weird in my own way....

We're taking off for Virginia tomorrow morning; hope to do part of Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park (have to see how my back does with the "new" van), and plan to hit Cuyahoga National Park on the way back -- two national parks in one trip!
