Aretha Franklin is the Queen of Soul. Sorry, in my opinion she is not the Queen of Rock. She sung with emotion in her songs.

Ray Charles could sing rock, soul and country western. A great artist.

That list is unbelievable. At least 80% of them don't belong there because they were not a part of Rock and Roll. Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton were never part of Rock and Roll. They belong in C&W. Many of the others were Rock singers but NOT Rock and Roll. Most of the rest are also in the wrong category.

Totally agree. Maybe "popular" music should be the subject title. I can't believe this coming from VH1. They probably have Pavorotti in the male R&R category.
