  • Rachel Maddow anyone?

I've only just begun watching her show, without getting into her political views and getting this kicked into the Forum Into Which I Dare Not Tread, have any of you been watching her? I don't usually have the patience to watch the cable news commentators/talk shows (I get my tv news from Jon Stewart), but I am watching her for the first time (not counting her election night coverage, which I tuned into sporadically amidst the frenzy and didn't seem to highlight her strengths, especially amidst her velvet pinstripes co-anchors) and I find her so entertaining and informative on the issues! I love how she explores things that might not make the big news headlines, her analytical style (so matter of fact and amusing, yet so smart and serious at the same time) -- I think she must be going places, she was on the cover of New York Magazine a few weeks ago and has gotten a lot of "buzz."

I saw her show for the first time last week in St Thomas and I am hooked! She is sharp and witty, what a refreshing addition to the cable news. Of course the nerdy site of me made me want to know more about her. As it turned out, she actually grew up locally (in East Bay) and went to Stanford for school. No wonder she is so intelligent...

Now that I am back, I tried to find her show at home but couldn't find it on MSNBC. Maybe she is off the air this week.

She was off for 3 days, but is back....with the clock fall-back change in time, MSNBC shows are hard to find now....I sometimes find the show, and other times, I miss it. But I think it is on twice a day.
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

Yes, have watched her since the beginning of her show. She just sort of came out of nowhere with getting her own show. She was doing some commentary for MSNBC and then just before elections, her own show. I agree with OP she is very good and her show is entertaining and informative.
The whole series of MSNBC shows (Chris Mathews, Keith O., and Rachel) are repeated at least once and sometimes twice at night, weekdays. Weekends they have some other series on late nite.

She has been a guest on many MSNBC political shows. I have been watching her for a couple of years, now. She's great!

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
