  • Nurse Jackie on Showtime

I love the title, reminds me of our own Nurse Jackio...

In a seemingly brilliant promotion move, Showtime has made the pilot available on demand, in advance of the airing tomorrow, June 8th. Usually you have to wait 24 hours after airing to view anything on demand, but it's availabe all week, though I just got 'round to seeing it last night.

Edie Falco is fabulous. Whatever your feelings about the character she plays (Nurse House, with a questionable code of ethics), she's doing a great job playing her. I'm looking forward to the second installment, have Tivo set for a Season Pass...

I don't have Showtime...but Direct TV gave me 3 mos free for being a loyal customer (ya right-they are trying to hook me with Nurse Jackie)

However, I just watched it online-first time I have ever done that. Thanks for the heads up....

    WOW!

I am hooked. I knew I would be....swap HBO for Showtime? Never thought I would have considered it.

Showtime and HBO each like to air new, often good, shows in the summertime. It gets people hooked when their usual networks shows end. I used to just sign up for them for the summer months, then cancel when the shows ended. I may do that again after this season, to cut costs. I've been lax the past few years, but the stuff really does add up.

I even boycotted Showtime for a few years when they canceled Dead Like Me, but I got over that when Weeds started.

I just saw that HBO is airing another new one starting June 28th, called Hung.

Glitter - you and i have the same quirky show TV taste.
Loved Dead Like Me too and was upset to see it go.

You do know that WEEDS, season 5 premiers tonight---?(10PM)

I've got the vcr set for weeds and jackie -10-11 -- and it will be good to see Edie again

Yes! Hallelujah! Though I can't imagine it getting any more ridiculous, I do like where they left off last season...

As for Dead Like Me, I still can't use the word "moist" without chuckling to myself.

Still enjoying Nurse Jackie...what about you Glitter?

Apparently I have free Showtime through August and it looks like the season might conclude late July so I'm happy

I have not turned on the television since May 22nd. I will have to see if I have free Showtime as well and then maybe I will be amused enough to watch these.

One of my oldest best friends will be on the show tomorrow night, he is on nurse Jackie tomorrow as transporter with Edie
Falco pushing gurney. Most likely it will be a short scene. He has dirty Blondie hair but that might not be his hair they use. We watched him on Life on Mars and did not realize it was him as they dressed him as a hippie. Some of you might have saw him years ago on Montel.
