Grew up with his afternoon TV show. Mum loved "Kids Say the Darndest Things".

A real gentleman.

I was little when that show was on, but I remember my mother laughing and laughing at it.

My favorite part was his interviews of kids. I wasn't much older than some of the kids but I loved it and laughed and laughed. He was one of the good guys.

Did anybody read the obit? Art Linkletter was survived by his wife, Lois, who he married in 1935.

Even after his show was canceled in 1969, he made many appearances on tv and even wrote books. three of his children are dead two long gone. I remember reading about his daughter comitting suicide.

He was a class act and a great ambassador for old TV

I heard on the news that he was the only person to ever have had 5 shows going at the same time. He was a busy guy, I think all those shows would have been live, so he was probably rushing from show to show.
