I hope BigFrank and Billymach were not affected. No reports of injuries so far. We are currenty under a Tornado warning.

I hope so too. This is not usual for your area. Is Pat (Grayfal) in the path of the storm?

Not sure, they have not been online since 3 PM or earlier and there was power out in the area.

The tornado was on the south shore near Rockaway and Coney Island. Frank should be ok he is far enough away. I am on the northern area of Queens/LI.

My seats at the US Open went empty today after we saw the forecast and watched one storm parade across 86th street. After we decided not to go, the weather cleared for most of the day. Sigh.

                  .

I saw on the news this A M chairs blowing on the tennis court. I think they the stopped the open for a while but I didn't hear the specifics.

Glad none of our group were affected by the tornado.

I'm so glad to hear that everyone is safe! We went through a tornado at our cottage about eight years ago. Five trees fell on our garage, and a nearby stand of 100 year old magestic trees was completely ripped out. Scary!

Glad to hear everyone is alright. Last year when Goderich got their tornado, we were headed right towards it on our drive home. As Frank has said, that is the darkest clouds I have ever seen an am certainly glad we did not get caught in it on the highway.
