Government sources have revealed that the ultra-radical and merciless Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) -- the group that transformed itself from al-Qaida in Iraq (AQII) -- has been confirmed to be in Juarez, a known hotbed of drug cartels across Mexican borderline from El Paso, Texas. Even without the dreaded Islamic terrorists, violence and crime are a part of everyday life in Juarez and the U.S. State Department frequently issues travel warnings to American citizens and others planning to visit there. In fact, one such travel alert was issued by the State Department only a few days ago.
This troubling report follows a number of news reports that claim U.S. intelligence operatives have "picked up increased chatter among Islamist terror networks approaching the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks."
