  • Planetary alignment and earthquakes , today, 4 pm pt

    So the word is that there might be a big earthquake today or tomorrow. The start time is 4 pm Pacific Time today and this goes through tomorrow. I have been watching a couple of websites to see whats happening and there is a bunch of earth quake swarms happening now in CA but this not really that unusual.

    http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/#{"feed":"1day_all","search":null,"listFormat":"de fault","sort":"newest","basemap":"grayscale","auto Update":true,"restrictListToMap":true,"timeZone":" utc","mapposition":[[31.80289258670676,-129.3310546875],[42.58544425738491,-106.34765625]],"overlays":{"plates":true},"viewModes":{"map":tru e,"list":true,"settings":false,"help":false}}

    So it is starting to look like something could happen but likely won't happen on the USA West Coast. Maybe Japan. That would be the worst spot for a biggie type earth quake because of Fukashima and Murphys Law would dictate that if it can happen, it will happen in a place like fukashima.

          Looks like Mr. Bill found another earthshaking site on the internet.

            Maybe it will be Mt. Rainier- that would also be a Murphy's law for Mr. Bill.

              In all seriousness.... Mr Bill does live on the ring of fire being in Washington State. I sometimes read and look at old YouTubes of Mt St Helens. Really scary stuff!

                  I was here for the St Hellens dealio. We got about 4 inches of ash in town. It ruined the roof on my first house. The sky was black at 3 pm.

                  I was looking at the usgs earth quakes page and found that the quake swarms are on both the north and south end of the san andreas fault. I think the other side of the Pacific might get the brunt. A volcano in Japan has erupted and the people in the area are being asked to leave.

                  I think the only murphys law with the new cabin is that people will be dropping in all the time, which is alright if they bring their own booze and steaks. The location is great for jeeping, snowmobiling, boating, hiking, hunting, fishing, trail riding, base jumping and hiding out. My place has power , well and septic plus the well appointed out house. No phone service.
