Changes to UK hand baggage restrictions

From today the restriction to a single item of hand luggage has been relaxed at a number of UK airports. Details can be found here.
Unfortunately the expectation is for more confusion as some airlines, including Easyjet and Ryanair say they will continue to enforce the one carry-on item limit.

Keith thanks for posting this. I was hoping it would happen.
I know it's not nationwide/ not all airports, not all airlines, it depends on their security ability, but I"m going out of Heathrow on BA so I know it applies for me.
