We certainly were! Epicenter about 100 miles to the East of us. We have never had this experience before and it was bizarre! Hubby and I both sat up at the same time and said "What the...."

Yep, felt it here in Indy. Woke us up but didn't know what it was until I heard it on the radio driving in.

I also felt the one 20 years ago.

        Rock a bye

Bet you wish you were in California so you could be rocked back to sleep.

We felt it here in Indy. The first one was about 5:37 a.m. and at first I thought it was the wind making the house creak. Later in the day I felt an aftershock about 11:15. I noticed that one because a little trinket hanging on my desk cabinet downstairs was knocking against the side of the cabinet like crazy.

Hey, you guys in California sound like old pro's at this.

No thanks. I'll stick to my earthquakes. At least they're over quickly.

We (also in Indy) felt the first one. It was stronger and longer than any earthquake I remember (I remember the ones in the late 1970s and the one in 1987. For a while they seemed to happen about every 10 years.) I know about the New Madrid fault and I have relatives in the Evansville area, so I immediately wondered if they were OK. (They are.) I was glad to hear that there was little damage and so far I've heard of only one injury (in Princeton, IN). I did not feel the second one (may have been in my car at the time) but my husband did.
