The Jacksonville Business Journal recently reported that Florida's attorney general has urged
guests who stayed at Wyndham Hotels and Resort in 2008 to check their credit card statements. As many as 21,000 Florida residents may have had their personal data on debit and credit card compromised.
The statement by the Attorney General also said that said it does not believe there has been any criminal identity theft related to the use of the consumer data. Consumers are urged to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity on their accounts to law enforcement agencies.
