I never did quite understand this whole running with the bulls thing.


The closest I ever came was the annual "running of the brides" at Filene's Basement's wedding gown sale.

I was there on the 8th. What a show! Everyone should do it. My wife wanted me to run, think she took out an extra insurance policy, boy was she upset when I went to the Bull Ring to watch instead.

We stayed at a Spanish Parador about 30 minutes away. Got them to serve us an early breakfast but still got off late. Pulled into town about 7:30 and parked in underground parking under the main square, how we got that far into town and how there was space, I don't know. There 'bodies' everywhere, in cars, on hoods, taking up parking spaces, and hanging out into the drive areas in the garage. Crazy. Walked a block+ to the mobbed bull ring, lower tier is free, couldn't even get into the entrances, went and stood in line for tickets to the upper tier $7/per and got the tickets at 7:55, got to an empty seat in the next to top row before the cannon and release of the bulls on the big screen TVs. WOW.
