With all of these witty and well thought out posts about light bulbs, do you think we could somehow make it relevant to timesharing experiences?

When people take something far more seriously than it warrants, satire writes itself. Too many people here and at TUG (myself definitely included) get so carried away that you hardly need to stretch to make a parody. That makes writing stuff like this a snap.

About four or five years ago I recall having similar fun with the notion of ski resorts selling lift tickets that are based on number of feet of vertical acent provided rather than simple day passes. You would buy the ticket, and each time you used it the ascent of the lift would be deducted from the value stored in the card. Like a Starbucks card, you could use it any time you wanted, it could be used as long as the remaining balance was more than the ascent of the lift you were using it on, and it could be recharged whenever the balance got too low.

That made a nice parody, where the ascent based lift tickets were like points timeshares, and the conventional day passes were like weeks timeshares.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

        “You shouldn't wear that body.”

Well, all I can say is that as I read your and the other posters' writing on this thread, I kept laughing harder and harder because of your accurate descriptions of how we react on these internet forums mixed in with current happenings here.

I thank you and all of the other posters for their brilliance.
