That made me think, I need to list one of the new state fair foods:

      Big Fat Bacon
1/3 lb slice of bacon fried and carmelized with maple syrup, served on a stick with dipping sauces

Actual food for the Minnesota State Fair.
I think I am going Aug. 30, but will NOT be eating that.

Sounds great! As a side, you need to get a big basket of fried cheese curds that are so famous at the MN State Fair. If you're diving in, you might as go in the deep end!

The state fair is one of the things I miss not living in MN anymore. A couple of years ago we went to the Colorado state fair -- what a disappointment! It was about the size of county fairs back in MN.

        Have a great time!

Vegemite, Australia's gift to the rest of the world.

Once I was down to one jar and gave it as a gift to my US friend, who had been pestering me for some.

Some years later I found out it was used as punishment for his kids, they had to lick a spoon with some on it when bad.
