Which type of cookware do you enjoy using? Stainless, Anodized or other
No big preference, but I wish they would go with stainless in timeshares based on the mangling I've seen. I often wonder what some of those timesharers' home kitchen's pans and tableware look like.
I have some anodized and some stainless. They both clean up very well. I had a Farberware set for 25+ years...I used them everyday, they looked brand new. I gave those to my son. I still have my 12 qt Farberware and still use it quite frequently. I have some caphalon pans, anodized...They're okay..I do find that I do not have to use as high of heat on them though. The pans seem to get hotter and stay hot for a longer period of time. Probably my favorite pan is my All Clad roasting pan. That pan does roasted potatoes and any type of roast beautifully.
I also have a 12 inch all clad fry pan....Is it a heavy pan.. one of my favorites...not so much! It has hot spots, I always burn stuff in that pan...UGH!
Then there's my old stand by 12 inch farberware electric fry pan.....It's about 17 years old and works like a charm!!!!
I;m looking for a new set myself. I am so confused. I just don't want to spend a fortune but I do want some that will last a long time and look good. Anyone tried cook essentials off QVC? shaggy
I use a lodge cast iron skillet I inherited from my mother (it's probably about 60-70 years old), and I use revereware for pots. I also enjoy my $5.99 skillets from the webstaurantstore.com (they were having a special - skillets $5.99, rubber handles were around $2).
Cooktops - gas. Too many years on a fussy first-gen corningware cooktop that was either on high or off.
No one can be exactly like me. Even I have trouble doing it. - T. Bankhead

Please excuse me, I'm a Dick. Not a moron just a Dick
If it's that tradional roast, nothing beats the waterless cookware I got 40 years ago.

My favorites are the Calphalon. They are easy to clean and food cooks well without burning. My DH has a cast-iron skillet that he loves to cook in. While the food he makes in it is really good, the pan is way to heavy for me to use for everyday cooking. I can;t imagine how our grandmothers carried all those heavy pans to the stove!
BTW - I have a gas range and oven - wouldn't use anything else. I love that the heating temperature can be more fine tuned, the burner gets hot immediately and cools fast. We turned down a new house purchase a few years ago because it had an electric range and oven.
