I haven't had a chance to do any of the Smithsonian museums/galleries in years. Just had a few hours this weekend, but the highlight for me was Julia Childs' kitchen on display at the Museum of American History - not sure how long it's been there, but it was donated in its entirety and is really a treat for Julia fans.

Here's the skit about saving the chicken liver, not the tipsy one, but still a funny skit.

Originally posted by IreneLFI will be in DC soon and was doing some reading on the museums. Found out that her kitchen has resided in the Museum of American History for about 10 years. Seeing the kitchen is one of my 'musts' for that museum and am glad to know you felt it so worthwhile for a Julia fan to see.
