  • Low calorie seasoned crispy fries

I do not get it, this recipe has bread crumbs and egg whites and does not even use sweet potatos but yet it is half the calories of most fries. I am going to try making them this week.

The recipe sounds good. Report back and let us know how they are.

The difference is baking vs. deep frying -- the fries have a ton less oil in the end.

We have a similar recipe for parmesan fries -- just mix a bit of olive oil with several Italian spices and some parmesan and put it in a container w/ the fresh-cut potatoes and shake it up to get everything coated. Then pop it in the oven. Very tasty!

Sounds good, but I see that you only get to eat 1/2 a potato for those calories.
I'd rather eat a whole baked potato for the same number of calories.

Omg they were great! I also added some extra seasoning like fine grated cheese and a dab of hot curry powder. Plus I love when we have egg and bread crumbs left cause I make little frita,s which is the the bread crumbs with more seasonings and more eggs spooned into the frying oil. Both the fries and the little frita is pictured below.
