      Thanks Frank!

I haven't been, and will give it a try.....Really good to know since Motorino has been gone for a while now.

I always thought Tony's references to fried pizza were just a joke . I haven't heard of frying the pizza dough before putting it in the oven, is that the speciality of a specific Italian region?

The photos inspired me to make the radicchio, arugula, gorgonzola, pear and walnut salad for dinner, so simple, so divine.

Yes...It's "Neapolitan," from the Naples area in Italy. I'm Italian, and can tell you that they just love frying stuff, anything that they can! Lol.

I make that salad every Christmas, with some variation. Everyone just loves it! You can use Pistachio nuts, glazed pecans, and/or various other cheeses.

Looks like there is one in Manhattan also. Let's have an outing.

As much as I loved it this place as cheap as the menu looks it had to be the most I ever spent on Pizza, The pizza is small and very light so light that we ended up spending about $75 with the tax and tip for the 3 of us. I also rather go to this one in Brooklyn since it was the original, The decor there was even something to talk about

What subway to get there? To the Brooklyn one, I mean. Do they do lunch?

Never mind, I looked it up. It's the L to Lorimer, not too hard. A ten-minute walk beyond that. Is it incredibly crowded all the time?

It was not crowded when we went but we were told it gets paced late nights and on the weekends.

This sounds delicious! I will have to try it next time I am in NYC, which reminds me that I have not been there for a long while...

Having moved from this area, I miss NY Pizza dearly and a fresh bagel...

The fried pizza dough served with nutella and powdered sugar looks a bit wicked

Yum, we have some sensational cheese makers (think boutique, handmade cheese) nearby so I tend to vary the cheeses but I hadn't thought to change the nuts. Glazed pecans on a Christmas salad, mmm, how decadent.

I can understand why it's only served once a year that's a heart attack waiting to happen.

Despite the fried pizza dough, the pictures suggest that the restaurant relies on simplicity and freshness for its success, I really like that.

Oh, that's right . I only remembered it was something I hadn't heard of and thought it quite bizarre.

Now I'm hungry. I think I'll go start a big fire and get the cauldron and asbestos gloves out and make some boiled pizza.

How do you make boiled pizza? Is it like a bagel, you boil the dough and then bake it?
