    Deep Fried Mashed Potatoes

I started by whipping up some mashed potatoes (obviously) and then filled an ice cube tray with them and put it in my freezer. A few hours later I popped the frozen cubes out of the tray and grabbed the ingredients that I needed to batter them.

For my batter I used a mixture of egg and milk and then rolled the cubes in flour, so once they were deep fried they ended up with a nice light, flaky crust. In fact, the coating tasted almost exactly like the same type of biscuit that I’d normally eat right alongside regular mashed potatoes.

Now, what you can’t see down below in the couple photos that I snapped of the frozen mashed potatoes, but what you should be able to see in the photo in the upper left-hand corner of this blog post, is that I also added a square of butter right in the middle of each of the cubes.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

    “You shouldn't wear that body.”

I had something like this yesterday. But mine came from Omaha Steaks. There Potato Au Gratin which is good but yours looks way better. I wonder how they would be if you used Panko bread crumbs

Yummy looking little heart attacks on plates. The butter just puts it right on up there with fettucini alfredo. I bet they are very good though.

Ouch, I had Linguine Alfredo Carbonara for dinner tonight. I'll have to check on the ingredients I use.
Got me thinking about deep fried boiled pizza too.

35 grams of fat plus whatever was in the ham and the romano cheese- serves 2 but should serve four.

Cubans here in miami make something very similar called papa rellena. Stuffed fried potato balls. They are delicious. They can be eaten alone since they are a meal in themselves. Really yummy too.
