  • Living Social Uncle Jack's Steakhouse

Uncle Jack's Steakhouse's rich history dates all the way back to the Prohibition, when this storied establishment became the famous gathering place for thirsty celebrities, businessmen, and socialites -- meaning no one can put the breaks on the good times at this heralded and refined restaurant. With today's deal from its Chelsea and Midtown locations -- which both serve USDA Prime Beef aged at least 21 days in-house -- revel in a decadent, three-course feast with a bottle of wine for two for $92 (regularly $185). Take a seat in the stunning dining room -- marked by ornate chandeliers, rich wood, and soft lighting -- and start with two appetizers; options are: Maryland lump crab cakes, Italian buffalo mozzarella with fresh beefsteak tomatoes, or a crisp Caesar salad. Then, choose from entrées that include the dry-aged New York strip, tender filet mignon, or ocean-fresh striped bass. Finish by sharing a decadent dessert sampler that features tiramisu, pecan pie, cheesecake, and chocolate mousse, and instantly realize why NYC's elite residents have been frequenting this place for so many years.

We ate at Uncle Jack's Steakhouse on 56th last summer. I heartily recommend it. I had the bone-in Rib Eye and my wife ate the bone-in Filet Mignon. We have eaten at a lot of steakhouses around the country and Uncle Jack's was our favorite by far.
