I'm getting kinda uncomfortable, you know with all you BBQ types here.

Next thing you'll be wanting me to come over and help you take the wheels off your house.

BTW, there's no limit to what can be cooked on a rotiserie. I think the best roast I've ever had (except for all the roasts that Jenny has cooked, of course) was done on a BBQ grill.

Funny you should say that, we do:
These old Farberware Open Hearth Electric Grill, Electric Rotisseries are great. We take ours with us on vacation complete with the Rotisserie. It breaks down and fits in a large rolling suitcase with all our spices and other cooking things we take with us to the timeshare. They even have a 5 skewer shish-ka-bob that works with the rotisserie frame and motor.

Farberware no longer makes them, but they are built to last and you can find them on ebay all the time.

P.S. This is NOT what I used for the Bone-in Leg of Lamb

I have done in the past Pork roasts and Roast beef. You really have to be sure it is centered or one side will be well done(Yippee) and the other side will be raw(Yuk)

          Hey Frank,

What could Lawren order from Omaha Steaks? One of those strip sirlions might work.

Those steaks from Omaha are to small. I do not think that would work.

                The experiments continue....

It took me a while to realize that my old dependable Weber Genesis 3 Burner cooks "hotter" when the grill sections are removed. Instead of precisely 350 in the M-O-M <medium-off-medium to you non-Weber-ites> I was getting more like 400. So the first few things were a bit dry and uh darker and crispier than intended

After the first ooopsies I figured out the settings and now the grill and rotisserie attachment are cooking with Gas! <pun intended>

I have whole chickens down pat.

Also successful: turkey breasts, leg of lamb and tonight I am trying a half boneless loin of pork.

I work every Thursday and alternate Friday nights so it is nice to make a roast on nights I'm home and have left-overs for salads, sandwiches, etc for the guys on the nights I am not here.

This is has been a successful journey and I want to thank you all for the various ideas!
