  • My Best Friend's Brisket...Perfect for Rosh Hashanah!

This is a delicious Brisket recipe. Great for the holidays, or any time you're in the mood. Everyone loves it..........

    4-6 lb Brisket
    1/4 cup olive oil
2/3 cup chopped celery and onions
    2 cloves chopped garlic
    2 bay leaves
    1 lb carrots
8 cups of your favorite beef broth
    1 cup red wine
    1 small can tomato paste

Sauté diced onion, garlic and celery in olive oil.....Sear brisket on all sides, in olive oil.....Add broth and remaining ingredients.....simmer on medium heat for one hour.

Remove brisket, and slice...opposite grain. Return sliced brisket to pot and simmer on low an additional 2 hours.

Cut the carrots into 2" pieces, and add to pot the last hour.

Option: Serve with 1 lb egg noodles!

**This recipe can be made the day before, and re-heated before served. If anything, it gets more tender!

    Enjoy!

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
