I am not a collector of cook books, but there is a new one out that I am excited about. "The Soul of a New Cuisine: a discovery of the foods and flavors of Africa" written by Marcus Samuelsson.
Marcus was adopted as a baby from Africa by a Swedish couple. His latest work is not simply a cook book but a study of the different regions of Africa and the variety of cuisines.
The recipes are not hard to make and they have an amazing complexity of flavors. I grew up in West Africa so this is a lovely reminder of my childhood. But I think anyone who likes to cook will enjoy this book.
Hope
