  • Delicious cp pulled pork

I baked home made whole wheat rolls at home the night before.

    Next day:
3 lb boneless pork roast ( browned first in olive oil)
    1 diced onion
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1 cip ketchup\2 T brown sugar
    2 T Worcestershire sauce
    2 T apple cider vinegar
    1/4 cup dry mustard
    1 tsp salt
    1tsp pepper
    1/2 cup water

Place in crockpot and cook all day on low. Go to beach for the day ( a must)
Remove roast and pull apart with 2 forks. Serve on homemade ww rolls accompanied by coleslaw.

The beer we drank with it just topped it off!

Kay, what cut of pork roast do you use? Do the leaner cuts work as well with your recipe?

    Hope

I'm going to try this on a lean cut in the next week or so and report back. Sounds simple and delicious.

Hmmmm.....For years I had a Crockpot that I never used. So, I gave it away, trying to make more room in my cabinet. Now I wish that I hadn't. I keep seeing these great recipes that call for a Crockpot.

I guess I could always go and buy another one.........

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

You know I never ate Pulled pork until about two weeks ago. I cheated I bought the Pulled Pork from Omaha Steaks. It was very good. Now I am not sure if I had Pulled Pork while in Hawaii as it did not taste the same, I liked Omaha Steaks much better.

We make Chile verde in the crock pot and use shoulder it may also be called Boston Butt, It has flavor but tends to be on the fatty side. We drain it before we add the sauce in the crock pot. We cook it only with a couple of garlic cloves, a little sea salt, a Jalapeno halved and seeded. After draining it we add a 16 oz jar for 4 lbs of pork of Trader Joes Ssalsa Verde and cook for another 2 to 4 hours on low on the Crock Pot. We cook the first 4 to 6 hours on high the rest on low, it is best if cooked for 10 hours or more

I use a loin roast - cook it all day and it is very tender & very lean.

I just wanted to say that I finally tried your recipe in the crockpot this week and it is indeed delicious. Nice flavor and so tender. I bought a pork loin on sale and trimmed out the bone,it was easy.
