  • Looking For Some Good H’orderve Recipes

Does any one have any good H'orderve recipes that they could share. I'm starting to think about the holidays, and I love to put out nice H'orderves, before dinner. Also, I like to have H'orderves this time of year to serve with drinks.

    Thanks for any suggestions........

    Hot Artichoke Dip

This is a recipe that I got at the local super market (Raleys). They had samples & this is delish:

14 oz. marinated artichoke hearrts drained
    8 oz. Neufachtel cheese
    1 c. shredded parmesan cheese
    1/2 c. light mayo
l/4 c. oil packed sun dried tomatoes
    l/4 c. sliced green onions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients in a baking dish & stir well. Bake 30 min. or until golden & bubbly. Serve with bread sticks, crackers, or French Bread.

Here is a quickie, Bacon wraped dates. Just wrap the bacon around the date and bake. Thats it.

I like the good old crusty bread topped with creamed cheese & smoked salmon and fresh dill
              or
diced tomatoes & fresh basil with balsamic dressing on crusties.

                Here are two I like:
                Creamcheese logs
                2 cans of crescent rolls
an 8oz cream cheese, 8 oz. mushroom stems and pieces, 1/2 t seasoning salt

spread out crescent rolls (two together) and fill lengthwise with ceam cheese/mushroom mixture. pinch closed and cut into small logs.
Back for about 25 minutes at 400 degrees.

                Also
spread one can of cream cheese on decorative plate or baking dish, top with one can no beans chili, top with one package shredded cheddar cheese, heat for 4 minutes in microwave and serve with tortilla chips.

                  A salmon fillet is easy.

                  Salmon rub:
                  2 T. sugar
                  1 T. chili powder
                  1 tsp. black pepper
                  1/4 tsp. cumin
                  1/2 tsp paprika
                  1/2 tsp salt
                  1/4 tsp dry mustard
                  dash of cinnamon

Mix spices and rub onto salmon. Bake at 350 degrees until done. Serve warm or cold

                  Hope

Thank you guys......It looks like I'm having a house full for Christmas, and I want to serve a bunch of different appetizers. I get so tired of serving the same things, so I really do appreciate any recipes that you may have......

                      Frank,

Do you use cut fresh figs, or whole figs from the package?

I love scallops wrapped in bacon, so this sounds good. And, simple is always a plus.

                      Thanks

I don't know I have to ask my wife. I will email her this thread and hope that she replies with a few good recipes, She has some good ones. I recall a baked Brie with Raspberry Jelly that is easy to make. She goes to cooking classes sometimes. I get lucky to be the experimental tester.
