  • What is your favorite fast food meal

Mine is a quarter pounder with cheese, extra large fries, and a large chocolate shake from McDonald's . I don't eat fast food very often but when I do this it if I am by myself.

Taco Bell Not after that E Coli outbreak over here in NY I won't.

I always liked McDonalds Quarter pounder with cheese. But we just got Arby's near my house now. I would take that Arby's Market fresh roast beef and cheese or there Beef and Cheddar over the Quarter pounder any day. Did someone say Cholesterol?

BTW You may notice that some of the fast foods places the food is going to start tasting different. That is because they have to change the way they cook it. NY just today passed the law first. The Transfat has to be taken out. So other oils must be used. Not sure what change this will do to both taste and price but hopefully Americans will live longer.

      Eat healthy.

      Exercise daily.

      Manage stress.

      Die anyway.

Or, as Redd Foxx once observed. All of those health nuts are going to look silly someday, lying in a hospital bed dieing of nothing.

          OK - I just remembered.

I had my first ever Big Al's Italian beef sandwich - I mean Big Al's on Ontario Street in Chicago. My new favorite fast food. Hey - the driving directions say it's only 23 turns to get there from my house. Unfortunately, one of those segments is about 1700 miles between turns.

            Only in Cali...
            Double-double, animal style
            Fries well done
            Neopolitan shake

            In-n-Out Burger

I don't eat fast food very often, but with a SoCal raised wife, it's hard to pass the arrow by when she's hungry.

I used to love Arthur Treachers chicken planks and fries. They always tasted so good and I attributed the different taste to the fact that they said they were fried in peanut oil. Sadly, there haven't been any Arthur Treacher's around here for years and years.

We don't eat take out too much anymore, but when we do, I usually get chicken tenders and mashed potatoes from KFC. And before we get a gold star for cutting back our eating out, it is only because I had gastric bypass surgery last year and that severly limited my eating out, so therefore now my family "suffers".

                    Chick-Fil-A sandwiches!

Boston Market creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Not the chicken.

Arthur Treacher's fish. We still have one here, but it's a combination Arthur Treacher's, some kind of Brand X fast-food chicken, and Indian food. If you order Arthur Treacher's, they go in the back and take out frozen fish and fry it for you. Sometimes it tastes vaguely of curry.

And of course KFC. But KFC really isn't as good as it used to be. When I was a kid in Texas, they had hush puppies on the menu. I don't know if they still have them in the south, but they don't have them in the northeast.

There's no Jack In The Box on the east coast?

No. I'm not sure I've ever seen a Jack-in-the-Box. Do they have them in the Midwest?

They used to be all around but they have disappeared. I liked a few of there items years ago. But it has been so long that I forget what I liked.

I used to like Wendy's burgers but lately they haven't been as good as they used to be.
Arby's roast beef sandwiches are pretty good especially with lots of horsy sauce.
We also have a locally owned hot dog place called Hot Dog Charlie's in this area, the mini dogs with meat sauce are pretty good.
