I still think back on my microbiology class as one of the most informative, interesting and insighful classes I've ever taken. Going out into the world and taking cultures from all the places you would like to think are "clean" will either scare you to death or make you marvel at what a wonderful thing the human body really is. Our natural capacity to deal with bacteria is, under most circumstance, extrodinary. Especially considering how some of those hotel room glasses were "cleaned".
Now, think back to all those times when you were a kid and you drank straight from the garden hose.
