I'm looking for the name of a restaurant.
About 1.5 years ago we stayed near Old Town San Diego and then went to Carlsbad for a week.
We ate in this amazing BBQ place which I think was closer to Carlsbad than to San Diego. If I drove by the place we never would even think about eating there. But it was recommended.
It's a small white building connected to other stores and you order on your way into the restaurant and pick it up at the other end of the line. I believe there are some picnic tables toward the front of the restaurant and some booths and tables in back. No waitresses, just someone to wash the tables. I also remember they had what I will describe as a trough to wash your hands after you ate.
When we arrived, there were people standing in line outside waiting to get in.
We are going back to Carlsbad this summer and we would love to go back to this place!
