Nordic Lodge, Charlestown, RI - All You Can Eat Lobster Buffet

A true New England oddity.

All you can eat lobsters, etc. $75/pp (children less) + Hagen Das ice cream bar, raw bar................

Top quality, but quantity wasted on me.

I knew about this place from a co worker but have not been. It is not inexpensive but you can eat a lot. IMHO I would just eat the lobster and ignore the rest. DH would love it there.

There used to be a place another place that was in Quonset Point,RI years ago that my parents went to with their friends called Custys. It is now in CT and it is on the same road to Foxwood. I have not been there either. Seafood buffet - All you can eat steak, shrimp and lobster buffet at Custy's International Buffet! $69 pp adults

It was a lot cheaper when I used to eat at the Quonset Point location in the mid-70s, while on active duty in the Navy.

It was a lot cheaper when I used to eat at the Quonset Point location in the mid-70s, while on active duty in the Navy.

Then, of course, we were paid $1.28/hr while on active duty if you figured it out and then divided by 24 ! (and I was commissioned !).

A while back I was in Bar Harbor, Maine and ordered a 2# lobster. It was way more than I could eat. It was also much cheaper than $75pp. Take the gang to Bar Harbor and spend the rest on a repeat dinner the next night!

Aha, but was it a buffet ?
Rick, I 'm with you, but there are some who can eat 4-5 lobsters and a lot more.
This is the point, it is for those who love to eat mass quantities of great stuff including raw bar, dessert bar and countless other things.
Frankly, I'm with you and couldn't do and/or eat even near the $$ amount, however, there are some who want this sort of thing.
Oh, did I mention they have a Hagan Daz smorgasbord ?

I go to a Japanese buffet and eat more than the $24 dinner price, however, I have to go "into training" and just have coffee or tea for breakfast and lunch, in order to break even.
