Yes, there is a box at the top of the page where you are asked for a code. Enter the code and the prices drop.

At least I think that is where the code is entered. Certainly before the final pay page.

I have to weigh in with JLB on this one. You have to read the certificate. I bought 5 certificates in my area, and will have to go out with friends to use 3 of them. one of the places is a hamburger bsket or fish basket type of place and everything is under $10. There is no way two of us can spend $35 or 50 there. I draw the line at having to spend $50, you end up spending 35 to 40 out of pocket and you can eat at nice places for a lot less without any prior committment.

Be selective, and read the fine print.

It is always a good idea to read the fine print before purchasing these gift certificates. It definitely is not for everyone. (For example, if I am allergic to seafood, I won't get a GC for a seafood place. If I never purchase more than $35 worth of stuff at some place, I wouldn't buy a $25 off $35 purchase! Common sense, I guess...)

I have found some incredible deals, and here are some of the things I look for:
          • The fewer the restrictions, the better!
          • $10 off purchase of $20 or more, $25 off $35 purchase are excellent deals.
          • I rarely get the $50 off and $100 off ones since I never participate in large events like that.

This offer is ending today, so don't forget to get your certificates.

I just got email from Restaurant.com today. One of the restaurants is no longer honoring the certificate, so I received credit for my purchase. Thought that was handled well.

I appreciate the others who have also said what I tried to say, that some of the restaurants that previously required a $35 total purchase, giving the certificates some value, have made them unviable by raising the total purchase requirement to $50 or $60.

That is easy to miss when you are accustomed to seeing them at $35, and it is too late once you buy them, or once you get to the restaurant and notice that increase.

I figured what I would do in those cases is for the DW and myself to each enjoy a dinner there and buy an additional dinner for take out. I would be able to meet their requirement and have a meal when the wife is out on one of her scrapbooking night.

But you are correct; going to a $50 requirement has caused me to skip several of the outfits offering the certificates.

waaaaaah, your takeout plan may not work, check the certificate, many do not allow takeouts to count.

If I order more food than I can eat at the restaurant, and if I pack some of it (most of it?) to go, they will have to honor the GC. Right?

You'll have to excuse Spence. He's been kinda a nitpickin crab--- lately. And he can't find a smilie to toss in.

Don't forget to fill out the survey from Restaurant.com

2 weeks ago I received a nice appreciative email from the manager of a restaurant/brewery. That was in response to the survey (received from Restaurant.com) I have completed. She is now helping me with arranging for a large party that we are organizing at her restaurant.
