Is there a main ingredient that you rely on for many of your meals/recipes?

salad stuff. No matter how quickly we want something almost anything can be dressed into a salad! At least 3 seasons of the year...the fourth I lean heavily on homemade soups.

I also keep quite a few Trader Joe's frozen marinated fish items in the freezer. They thaw pretty quickly and can be dressed up or down easily depending on the mood of chef chez lawren.
