  • Basketball Game of the year ?

Women's # 1 vs # 2 Tomorrow-Wed.12/23/09 5:30 PM on ESPN2 or over the internet on ESPN360. UCONN vs Stanford-both undefeated this season. Last loss for UCONN 40 some odd games ago against Stanford in the 2008 national semi-finals, Stanford's last loss in the 2009 national semi-finals against UCONN.

Great first half, you can still watch a replay on ESPN 360 or wait and catch the redo in the spring in Texas.

Tomorrow night the replay as predicted for the national championship- Uconn now has won 77 in row and Stanford is undefeated since that December 2009 loss to UConn.

        Stanford not Stanford

They do not look like the same team I've been watching all year. Everything seems off for them right now including timing and shooting. I honestly want Stanford to win but I think they are going to get blown out big time.

Uconn didn't exactly look that impressive last night. The supporting cast look awful. Let's hope they both play their best tomorrow.

UConn by 10 points and their winning streak goes on !!!.

Not a great game, but it was interesting. Certainly a second half showcase for Maya Moore. I was looking for a 150-200 point game, not a defensive clinic. The 78 game win streak will probably be extended, but I doubt they will get to or beyond UCLA's 88. Next year should be more competitive as Uconn will have to replace an all-American center, back-up center and a veteran forward and their only back-up forward. The two 6'5" f/c's that were supposed to be on the roster both left without playing a game. If Auriema pulls off another championship in 2011, he might be in the running for the best coach ever.
