As our local sports reporter said in his commentary about the gala event the draft has become, all NFL teams are now in the running for the Super Bowl, disregarding the fact that none of the draftees have played a down in a bigger, faster game than they have ever played.

The NFL will milk every dollar they can . . . look for a live game every day/night of the week, probably only on the NFL network . . . in the future.

            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_Bowl_(1985)

The Snow Bowl was a National Football League game played on December 1, 1985 between the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It is known for its heavy snow. Only 19,856 were in attendance, with over 36,000 "no-shows," the most in Packers history. About 2/3 of the stadium was empty.[1] Twelve inches of snow fell before the game and another four to five inches fell during the game.[2]

The game itself saw the Packers dominate the Buccaneers en route to a 21-0 victory.[3] Despite four turnovers, the Packers offense gained 512 total yards on 31 first downs, with the Buccaneers recording only 65 yards on 5 first downs.[4] Packers wide receiver James Lofton received passes totaling over 100 yards from quarterback Lynn Dickey by halftime.[3] Packers defensive end Alphonso Carreker sacked Buccaneers quarterback and future Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinee Steve Young a then team record four times.[5] It was Young's second game in the league after he left the USFL.[3]

With Kyle Wilson in the defensive backfield alongside Revis and Cromartie, the Jets are going to have a stellar pass defense.

                  1. No, although Eric Berry has a strong chance. The Chiefs play Norv Turners San Diego Chargers in their first game. That's a tough first assignment to toss onto a rookie Free Safety.

                  2. Yes, Eric Berry has a good shot at Defensive Rookie of the year.

                  3. No but, I think they'll be better because of the combination of free agent signings and a couple of the drafted players. They addressed some of the needs along the offensive line, drafted a good free safety, drafted to potential return men and have hired a strong offensive coordinator and replaced the defensive coordinator. Last years preseason was rough and full of changes. I see less turbulence this year making for a better start to the season.

                    3) I think they will have 1 more win than last year but not because the draft choice.
