Fantasy Football for 2010?

I think my son is pissed at me now. I told him to pick up and play Dixon and sit Chris Ivory because Gore was out and I heard Westbrooke was hurt. I also heard that P Thomas might be playing with R Bush giving Ivory less touches. So I figured that was a great pick up. Man did I screw up his game and will now cost him the win and a play off spot. Westbrook played giving Dixon only 50% of the carries and Ivory got all the carries since Thomas did not play. I tried to get word to him to get Ivory back in but he got my text after the 1 pm deadline because of his reception in his dorm room at School is very poor

Green and Gold had 87.9 points. Goose Squad had 66.7 points.

Dixon had 3.7 points and Ivory had 23.7. The Differences is 20 points. Add 20 points to 66.7 points and Goose Squad gets 86.7 points. Green and Gold still wins 87.9 to 86.7.

Frank he can have my spot if he really wants in. Just another year where I had way too much going on personally to get much involved. I think my life will calm down now so watch out next year guys.

Be careful, because it will depend on the tie-breaker rules on whether you have a spot or not.

Thank you for the offer but after seeing Walts response below I do not feel so bad knowing that he was going to lose even if he had put Ivory in.

You think some one would have done the math, Thanks Walt now I do not feel so bad. Just so you know if he had played Ivory and not benched Welker because he was playing against the Jets or had listened to me regarding not playing Dustin Keller and put in his other TE he would of won it. I guess he was not ment to win this year. Not to mention me beating my boy by a point when we played did not help either,

I think my Hangers should be seeded second because I lost head to head with Sack Pack.

What Format Do You Think Is Best For the Playoffs?

We have 12 teams.

Format 1

6 teams for the Championship.

First Round

1---Bye
2---Bye
3 vs 6
4 vs 5

Lowest winning seed plays #1 in the next round. Highest seed winner plays #2. 2nd Round Winners play for Championship.

Same schedule fot the Toilet Bowl. 6 teams for the for the Toilet Bowl. Have the winner get a piece of the total winnings. Say 10%-20% of total.

I don't mind how we've set it up the playoffs this year. And I like the fact that two teams get the first round bye. But in the end, I'd place a heavy emphasis on doing what's easiest for the commish.

Tie Breaker and Standings?

I believe that a FF League has some options on the rules. That said, the rules state "Ties in' the standings are resolved in this order: Winning Percentage, (or the same as saying Won Loss Record) and then Total Points.

The problem with having 12 teams is that we play everyone in a round robin format. (which is a total of 11 matches in 11 weeks.) But the Full Schedule is 13 weeks. So that means that the luck of the draw determines the other 2 team match ups. We all played only 2 teams twice. Which also means that the teams that tie may not have played the same teams twice. Some that tie may have only played each other once. Other that tie may have played each other 2 times.

I believe the team that is the highest scoring team in a league should be the Champion most of the time. However, the NFL game match ups each week has a lot to do with what FF team wins each week.

My team "Sack Pack", had a 10-3 Record. But there are 4 teams that scored more points than I did. But I am #1 in points allowed with 984.4. I only had a 10-3 record because of the NFL game match ups each week. While the Total Points is something I control with what players I played each week. I have no control over Total Points Allowed. Dumb Luck, Match Ups, and a little skill in the playoffs will be the reason someone wins the FF League Championship.

So, what I am saying is, the easiest for the Commish is to have the Total Points as the Tie breaker and the CBS Standings will do it all for the Commish. And I think that "Total Points" is the fair way to have tie breakers.
