    If the league is not a keeper league, it makes sense that the draft order is always random. When you start to keep players, you should start to use reverse order of finish in year 2 of the keeper format and all years going forward. Presumably, the teams with the better top two players finished nearer the top than the bottom so you want to give the teams with a lesser duo of kept players a better draft position. It doesn't always work out that way but usually it does. You can still keep the snake pattern of 1 thru 12 then 12 through 1 but the last place team should always have the first pick starting next year.

    When I said extra first and second round picks, I meant picks ahead of teams that are keeping players. That seems like a reward for not drafting well.

            With a Keeper League, everyone should have to keep a set number of players. Whether it's one or two. otherwise it's not really a keeper league with an ramifications for having a bad team. You actually get rewarded big time the following year. The reason the last place team would get to draft first is, in theory they are stuck with two bad players to start.

              I like the idea being able to keep 0-2 players, and forfeiting up to the first two rounds, depending on how many players are kept. As far as draft order goes, I've always like the idea of loser first, winner last and back to the last place team.

                With the season just around the corner I think we could do a modified keeper league to start with for next year. This is what I proposed early keeping 0-2 players, and forfeiting the 1st or/and 2nd rounds draft picks depending on how many players you keep. If we need or want to tweak it for the following year would be open for discussion. It would be nice to hear from some others as to what they would like to see for a keeper league.

                I am going to have the CBS computers set the draft tonight so the draft order will be posted soon.

                  Sounds good... you do know that you don't get to keep redoing the draft order until you get the first pick, right?

                  I've never done a keeper league before, so I'll go with the flow on this one...
