  • Red Sox v.s. Yankees Tonight

Off to Fenway tonight and Wednesday to see the game (now that the rain has finally stopped). Haven't checked to see who's pitching.

        Connie,
Let me know ahead of time when you might be up this way. I'll "go to bat" (pun intended) for you and score some tickets. Need some lead time in order to get them.
Hope you're well in Florida. I'm looking for a house in Naples, Captiva, Sanibel or Estero.

          Good game!

Red Sox won - but I was getting worried in the top of the 9th!

You must be glowing with pride as your Sox defeated the Yankees.

Two inept "prima donna" teams that should win 80% of their games. Should be world series champs every year for money spent. Great old ballparks, teams, well Yankees, anyway, bad for baseball.

                Woo-hoo! Way to go Curt!
Thanks, Beags...don't plan on being around New England this summer, but we're usually able to get tickets when our team comes to Tampa Bay. Actually, you would think it was a home game with the masses of red for those games. So at least I get to see my boys.
Good luck with the house search...I know very little about those parts of FL.

More relieved than anything as you know those Yankees have the capability of coming from an 0 & 9 deficit to win !!
It did get very hairy at the top of the 9th (like falmouth posted) when Foulke was pitiching.
That was an awful wrist break for Matsui. I can't bear to watch the replays on that one.
Will catch the Wednesday game at Fenway.

Trust me, as a mostly lifelong Red Sox fan, I feel your pain. I wish that all the teams, especially the Cubbies, who have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory (as we have repeatedly) could bask in the glow of a championship flag, truly.

Well played by the NYY. We left 10 stranded last night and 13 on Tuesday evening.
Very scary moment when Clement was hit. Francona should've pulled him earlier. I can see how he wanted to overcome this especially after taking one in the head before, however, his pitching was one reason why we lost (along with some poor fielding), but hey, "quite while you're behind", will you ?
Manny was sensational and Papi's bat was cold, but Papi has won us so many games before.
                      Next time.........

Go Baltimore, Toronto, and Tampa Bay!!!!!!

                        Hey Beags,

We'll take Big Papi off your hands.....no problem.....and now some fans are wishing we would have taken ManRam when we had the chance.

Go Baltimore, Toronto, and Tampa Bay!!!!!!

Been a rought start here....only thing saving us is our division is stinking it up this year....so we still have a chance to turn it around.

                          Go .
Nah, never, no, nada we will let Big Papi go. He's the heart & soul of the Boston Red Sox. Oh, and Manny ? Manny was being Manny last night when he ignored the third base coach to stop and lucky for us !!!!
I just can't believe we let Bronson Arroyo go. That was soooooo stupid. He wanted to stay here. The BoSox brass just haven't learned that we should KEEP good pitchers, duh !
Yes, I was one of the Fenway Faithful taunting the "Unit" (?Eunuch?) by chanting, "Randy, Randy......".
