I wish that you would have kept Childress. Any coach that allows his players to call him "Chilly" and picks up a player (Brett) from the airport and then wonders why his players didn't win for him is not going to be a good coach or a leader of men. Can you imagine Lombardi, Bill Parcells, or Bud Grant allowing their QB's to tell them how to run their team and picking them up from the airport?
But of course, I really wanted Coach Childress to continue coaching the Vikings because I could always depend that he would put the Vikings in postions to lose games.
