I picked brackets with my husband just for fun. I'm not doing so well but I am doing better than he is.

If Kansas and UNC lose tomorrow my whole final 4 will be wrong. I had 4 for 8 correct in the elite 8. I picked Kansas to win the whole thing, so for now my horse is still in the race.

Really didn't expect much of them this year. First shocker was the win at the Maui invitational early in the year followed by a top 25 spot. Then came the Big East season which gave them all their 6 losses. Then 5 wins in 5 days in the Big East tournament and a second seed at the big dance. If they play well they could go all the way, but I remember those 6 days they didn't. Still a great year for a much improved junior-Kemba Walker and his cast of freshmen- Lamb, Smith, Napier and company.

And what we really waited for all winter- the Womens' tournament where Uconn plays for a trip to the elite 8 today featuring senior Maya Moore & company and also a few great freshmen.

Huskie hopeful

The Huskies trip to the final four has been tough, but I've seen a lot of heart...these young men are not going to go down easy. With five wins in the Big East tourny to take the Big East Championship. Now four wins to in a row in the Big Dance, two to go, while strongly rooting for the Huskies ...if they don't pick up the balls off the glass they will be going home. They got lucky that Williams missed the that three pointer, with 3 seconds left.

Uconn's Bigs have to quit missing the bunny shots under the rim. One handed dunks bounding of the rim is Ugly. put back shots ..turning into points at the other end. I know it's part of the game.
