  • Congratulations To Derek Jeter

Congratulations To Jeter: What a hit to enter the elite 3,000 hit all time major league club. He is number 28Th on the list of all time great hitters.

I have a 1998 edition of Derek Jeter, Starting Line figurine still in the box.

What a way for him to go over 3,000. He went 5-5 with a home run being number 3,000. Jeter is a real class act and I am happy for him.

I'm a Red Sox fan through and through, but I think this guy is a class act with immense talent and staying power. Way to go!

Never have liked the Yankees but Jeter is just a classy guy. His Yankee record is all the more impressive because he never used steroids like most of the players in his era. Just wish he played for the Dodgers.

With the Dodgers in the state of disarray as they are today, I am sure Jeter is very happy to be in New York.

Walter O'Malley must be turning over in his grave from seeing the Dodgers organization today.

Happy here as well. My son is a major Yankees fan. He and Jeter share the same B-day. I took him to NYC when he was 13 and we saw a Yankee game on his and Jeter's B-day. Subway series. We sat in Section 39 with the bleacher creatures. We took the Yankee Clipper over and I had his B-day wishes put up on the jumbotronish thing at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees pulled out a win late in the game. He is 19 now. That day can never be duplicated. I can't even describe to you how emotional it was for all of us.

I salute you Derek Jeter. My son could not have picked a better player to follow. Class act for sure.

It is very sad to see one of the top baseball organizations in such disarray. The bad karma started when they left their spring training facility at Vero Beach Fl.

I don't think leaving Vero Beach had anything to do with it. The problem was McCourt. I have been to Dodger Town at Vero Beach many times when we lived in Florida. We saw both the Spring training games plus Vero Beach Dodgers.
