It's been a long time but I think my Detroit Lions are finally ready to kick some butt this year and who knows how far they can go if the end of last year and the preseason are any indication. Yeah I know it was just preseason.

I am ready. I watched the game last night between the Packers and the Saints. I am not a fan of either team but it was a good game to watch. The Saint's Darren Sproles ( acquired from the Chargers ) set an NFL record 108 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Hopefully my Chargers will have a better start this year than they normally do.

Sproles had a 74 yard punt return for a TD. The record tying 108 yard kickoff return was taken to the house by Green Bays rookie Randall Cobb.

You are right. I got it backwards. One of the hazards of old age.

I Went To The Packers Saints Game

I went to the game with my wife, son and grandson. We are season ticket holders and the pre game stuff was awesome. We got there about 3:30 pm

While walking around the stadium to see the pre game stuff, my wife tripped on the box covering the wires that went across the road. She landed on her knee. She seemed alright and we walked about a 2 city blocks to get some hamburgers at Krolls West. If you ever go to a Packer's game you need to get a hamburger from Krolls at least once.

Green Bay Packers Game Day at Kroll's West - across from Lambeau Field

After eating and sitting for about 45 minutes, we got up to go to game. However, my wife was unable to put any weight on the leg without any pain. She was able to get back to the our car with the help of a ride from a golf cart.

My son and grandson went to the game. Since my wife could not walk, my wife and I ended up watching the game on TV in the parking lot with the owner of the TITLETOWN LAMBEAULANCE.

GREEN BAY PACKERS LAMBEAU FIELD TAILGATING FAN VEHICLE - THE TITLETOWN LAMBEAULANCE

For the NFL football fans that do not know about tailgating at Packer games, tailgating is big at Packers games. Besides the Packers' parking lot; parking is done on the lots of the homes surrounding Lambeau Field. Some of the homeowners make enough to pay their home tax bill from the parking fee. Some fans do not have tickets yet will pay anywhere from $25 to $40 just to tailgate during the game. This includes when the temperture is 10 degrees or less. Some of them like the Titletown Lambeaulance, have painted cars, trucks, RVs, and ambulances in green and gold colors.

If you saw the commercial on TV from the NFL "It's Good To Be Back" the Titletown Lambeaulance was in this commerical.

Randall Cobb is a University of KY grad and I was so excited when be go drafted into the Pack! I am a new DirecTV subscriber and have free NFL Sunday ticket. Now I can watch the Packers AND the Bears here in KY all season.
